Concepts of Heterogeneously Catalyzed Liquid‐Phase Oxidation of Cyclohexene with <i>tert</i> ‐Butyl Hydroperoxide, Hydrogen Peroxide and Molecular Oxygen

چکیده

The oxidation of hydrocarbons is great significance for the chemical industry as it provides access to valuable functionalized chemicals. cyclohexene has raised much interest because enables direct synthesis adipic acid, which an important building block in polymer chemistry. However, selective rather challenging due its two reactive centers so that epoxidation or allylic may occur leading a variety products. Whether takes place at C−H bond C=C strongly influenced by chosen oxidant and catalyst, different reaction mechanisms can occur. Therefore, this concept article aims giving broad overview recent advances over heterogeneous transition metal-based catalysts using environmentally benign oxidants like tert-butyl hydroperoxide, H2O2 molecular O2.
